Paris by H

Today we left for Paris. We woke up at 7:00 after a long day yesterday. We went to Waterloo station to catch our train to Disneyland, Paris. We got our passports stamped and we were overwhelmed by the bunches of people. We waited for the train while listening to the Disney band. We were worried that Gram and Papa were not going to make it, but we found them. We sat in the first class train area. It was our first real train ride. We sat in six seats with a table; we colored while everyone else chatted. When we went under the English Channel, they served us breakfast (eggs, hash browns, baked beans, fruit, bread, and muffins). After a three hour train ride, Gram, Papa, Mom, and Tirion caught the bus to our villa and Daddy and I waited for 1 hour and 30 minutes for the car rental place to reopen. When we got to the villa, we unpacked and headed to the train. We caught the RER to Paris and went straight to the Rodin museum where we saw The Thinker, The Gates of Hell, and Balzac (all of them were in a beautiful garden and they were much larger than we thought they would be).

After a stroll, we settled into a French/Greek restaurant for dinner. The owner spoke impeccable English. Mommy had an egg and mushroom crepe and T and I had a crepe trois frommages. Papa, Daddy, and Gram ate Greek food. Everyone but Gram and Papa had dessert crepes as well. I had a scrumptuous crepe with banana and chocolate.

With our bellies full, we took the metro to the Arc de Triomph and took some pictures. Then, we caught the metro to Le Pont Neuf where we boarded a boat on the Seine. The boat tour started at 9:30 PM. We saw the Louvre, the first American church, La Place du Concord, the guilded flame, the smallest house in Paris, the oldest house in Paris and lots of people making out on the edge of the Seine (the tour guide said your wish would come true if you kissed under the Marry bridge so Mommy and Daddy did and so did Gram and Papa). The best site of all was the Eiffel Tower which was lit up; after we turned around, it sparkled (it does that for 10 minutes every hour starting at 10:00). All of the sights were even prettier than they are during the day on a walk. Tired, we caught the metro and then the RER. We wrote in our journals and then went to bed! Tomorrow, we'll head to the Louvre.

Sounds like you are having a blast in Europe! Keep being geniouses for me and learn a lot so that when you get back you can pass on some of your knowledge to me! I miss you a TON and I can't wait until Virginia Beach!!!
